MISSING PAGE OF THE BIBLE?
I have just breezed over a long post on Surrogates blog, and from what I have gleamed from my breezing made me do a little research.
What prompted me to do the research?
Well, I was going to leave a funny, and maybe sarcastic post (not directed at surrogate, but at the Holy Bible), which I remember, came from an episode of Red Dwarf, where they found a pod from thousands of years ago, and it was full of mail.
Lister (a character in Red Dwarf) was opening up all the mail, and came across one particular letter, on which, when he read it out to the rest of the crew, said that they had found a missing page from the Bible (which was with the letter Lister was reading) and Lister read it out.
“this book is dedicated to my wife and children, who have given me the inspiration and imagination I needed, and to my close friends who also gave me some very imaginative ideas for some of the stories”
Ok, hopefully you will get the idea of why I was going to try and be funny.
But it did make me Google ‘Who wrote the Bible’. I do know it is a collection of a lot of different books written by different people at different times, apparently.
Anyway, after checking out various sites, I came across one that mentioned that Jews only use the Old Testament, also know as the book of Moses,
Here is an extract of what I found:
Conclusion
& nbsp; &n bsp; The books of the Holy Bible were written over a 2,000 year period by many people. During that time and afterward there were also other books written that were excluded. Some were not included and no one knows the reason because the books have been lost. Some were excluded because they were not believed to be faithful to the faith.
& nbsp; &n bsp; For example the Jews to this day reject the books of the New Testament as not authentic Judaism. Christians believe the reverse. This is a phenomenon that can be found in other religions around the world. However what has been included are those books believed to be the divine word delivered to the saints?
Here is the link to the site I looked at.
I thought after reading this, confirmed my idea that I left in a comment in surrogates blog, that some people, will twist and manipulate the writings of their religion, regardless of what religion they believe in, and make it fit into their own ideas, philosophies and perversions.
You may well disagree

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY
1789: George Washington is sworn in as the first President of the United States.
1945: Adolf Hitler commits scuicide in his bunker as Soviet forces overrun Berlin.
1975: The Sout Vietnamese government surrenders unconditionally to North Vietnam, ending decades of war.
US elections?
Do I care about American elections? NO
Do i want to hear about it? NO
Why the F*@# have the UK TV channels deemed it necessary to inform us about who will run for president for the democrats (i think that is correct.).
God help us when the presidential comedy band wagons start on their journey to get themselves into the US hotseat.
Luckily, there has not been much on the news about it all for a while.
I apologise if you are interested in this, but having some other countries political news appear on every news bulletin is a little annoying.
EARTH DAY?
My wife has a calender at home, and for some reason it has national days listed for Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US. (In case you did not know, I live in The United Kingdom)
Yesterday, it said it was EARTH DAY in the US. Can any americans explain what earth day is, did they celebrate it, and is it a holiday????
GUTTERDOLL RETURNS
Hi people,
Incase you are wondering what a happened to me, well, I don't really know.
My life for one reason or another got extremely busy, and my blog was left to slip. But I have come back to pick up from where I left off.
One thing I have been doing is downloading alot of Abandonware games. These games can be download legally and they are free too!!
So I have been playing a lot of strategy games (my fav type), and finding sites which support those games and provide add-ons and extras.
I must say, I am so glad to see a very old tblog friend return....XXXGUTTERDOLLXXX!!!
I think she was one of my first friends on here and was the first to give me a FAN SIGN! I dont quite know how long I have been on tblog (I also refer to my previous account "raggedtigeruk" on here which got deleted....humbug), but it must be 4 or even 5 years ago, which is how long i have known gutterdoll.
It is great to see her back

Oh joy.
Do you have similar problems with your energy supplier in your part of the world, or are you lucky and dont suffer this crap?

IGNORANCE
During the past few months, my wife’s 17 year old niece (Tasha) has had to live with us due to unforeseen circumstances.
Which was fine, even though she had to sleep on a fold up bed in our living room.
However, I never fully understood how lazy, untidy and generally messy she can be (I am not saying this because she is a teenager, as I now other teenagers who are no where near as bad), and this did start to put a strain within our household.
To add another issue to the situation, her boyfriend, who seemed ok, turned out to be a real ignorant git, speaking or saying hello to you as and when it suits.
One example of this was between Christmas and new year I had gone out in the car, and when I had come back, the house was full of people visiting, including my wife’s niece and her partner.
This was fine, but what pissed me off was when I got in, I went straight into the dining room, which is where the household computer is, and saw HIM on my computer (which so far was ok, as tasha and him were moving out and were surfing the net for beds and stuff), but when I said HELLO, he said nothing. He did not even turn round to acknowledge me.
This pissed me off…he is in my house, on my computer, the least I would expect is a HELLO.
This is one of many instances where both of them have taken the piss with my generosity and kindness, which is why, now they have moved out to their flat, that I am a lot more happier and content.
YAA – F***ING - WHOOOOO
She still comes to our house on occaision, but he does not, which is good, because he is as welcome as the Black Death.
A side note to this is also my wife's daughter, who also got to the point where she could not stand tasha's boyfriend and moaned continuously when she knew he was coming to our house.
She too, is a lot happier these days.
woohoo
Hello people and happy new year.
Sorry for the little absence, but I have been busy and for some reason tblog is becoming more and more unreliable (took 3 mins for the ADD A POST screen to load up), so I dont know if you guys have found it doing the same.
I have lots to post, grumbles, pictures, observations and other boring stuff, so stay tuned (if you can get tblog to work) and I will post more soon (if tblog will work)

MURDER AT CHRISTMAS
Troops return to heroes welcome
I saw this article in the Yahoo news this morning and thought it was worth sharing with others before they deleted it.

Shoppers and workers lined the streets of Nottingham waving flags and clapping as troops from the Mercian Regiment (Worcesters and Foresters) marched through the city.
Nottinghamshire Police said they estimated 10,000 people attended the parade. The Ministry of Defence said they believed it was one of the largest of its kind.
The 350 troops from the regiment's 2nd Battalion were among a 500-strong force that returned from Afghanistan in October after a six-month tour.
Commanding Officer Lieutenant-Colonel Simon Banton said: "The boys take a huge amount from it. All they crave is recognition for their efforts. To see it recognised today is tremendous.
"I think there is a genuine mark of separation between the war and the soldiers who are fighting the war.
"The regiment has such strong community links with Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Worcestershire. On war memorials here there will be the names of relatives who have served before us."
Private Jamie Grocock, 25, from Nottingham, said: "It was a great turn-out. It touches you when you hear people clapping. It makes you feel proud.
"Out there in Afghanistan you don't think you get a lot of respect but coming here shows people appreciate what we are doing."
Private Iain Melrose, 28, said: "What has happened is that with the loss of people, it brings it home to people back here what we go through."

NEW CAMERA
WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......
I got myself a new digital camera. I ordered it on thursday last week and it arrived on monday.
it is such an improvement on my old one, but I guess it should as my old one is nearly 6 years old (and it cost more to buy and is far inferior)
I bought a Fujifilm S5700 (reviews) for only £106 with free P&P, which is awesome as most places on the net were selling them for around £120 plus P&P. It is a birthday soon, so my wife said it is a present from her, but I have had it early, my excuse being that I need to get used to it before we visit her sister (who is about to have her baby), so I can take some decent pictures.
So, I may well be posting some snaps on here, probably boring ones, so watch this space!!!!
